With Poshmark, you’ll need to photograph your items, set your asking prices, and list them on their site via your own personal shop. ThredUp works a bit differently. You send them the items you want to sell, they’ll take care of listing them alongside other sellers’ items, and then they’ll offer a set payout depending on the brand and type of items sold. ThredUp offers the convenience of shipping sold items on your behalf, whereas you’ll need to ship your items to buyers directly if you choose to sell through Poshmark.

A few of our favorites are: Facebook Marketplace (you can also look up local Facebook tag sale groups in your area), OfferUp, Craigslist, and eBay.
Did you recently upgrade to a new phone? Don’t trash your old one! There are a lot of people out there willing to buy your older model to avoid shelling out mucho dinero for the latest iPhone. Sites like Orchard and Swappa will list your phone for you and pay you when it sells, while some others like Glyde and Gazelle will purchase your phone outright.
BOOKS/GAMES/CDs & DVDs
If you’ve been meaning to purge your movies, books, music, and games, sites like Decluttr and Amazon let you list and sell your items on their site and then you ship items directly to buyers once they sell.
